Enthronement of Gyalwa Lorepa

It was, for me a very happy and joyous occasion to enthrone Gyalwa Lorepa in the monastery that was built by my own beloved guru. This is the place where I was spending my earlier life with my beloved guru, Thuksey Rinpoche. When I met him first time in this life, I immediately could not take my eyes off him, even though I was only 3 years old and he was already in his late 50's. It was like love at first sight, I think, if I had to describe it. Ha ha! Somehow, I believed that both Gyalwa Lorepa and I had a very deep affection for each other since we first met. Even his parents told me that it was very unusual, but I think if you understand the working of karma and the fact that Gyalwa Lorepa was the heart son of Tsangpa Gyare, who was considered to be "me" more than 800 years ago, it is not surprising. Of course, a more acceptable explanation is that this is a karmic connection that cannot be erased nor denied.

I sometimes think that it must be very heavy karma for spiritual gurus like us to come back again and again, it seems endless of work with not much of result. Sometimes, I do feel very sorry having to recognise these special children, as they have to leave their parents at very young age, go to a strange place, live with strangers and learn a language that they may not have heard of or been familiar with. But these children came with a mission far greater than what our human mind can perceive. It is not going to be easy to spread genuine spirituality in this plastic world that promotes and encourages the 8 demonic dharmas, which are the exact opposite of the authentic and ultimate Truth. Therefore, when these journalists asked why did I think Gyalwa Lorepa came back after 700 years, I had in mind an answer that I did not share with them, and that is "I think the world needs a lot more genuine masters to promote genuine spirituality that is true love, true happiness, true harmony, true peace, and all that cannot be destroyed by any emotions, doubts and superficiality". This is how we can say that there is hope in this troubled world. This is also the reason why I am so careful and so conservative in recognising reincarnations, because they all have a very heavy responsibility to make samsara a better place for all beings.

I was also very moved by Gyalwa Lorepa's young parents who are so genuine and sincere, a very rare quality in people these days. It's no wonder Gyalwa Lorepa had chosen them as his parents. I am proud of them to be in our family too. As you all know, our Dragon family of yogis and their followers are mostly quite simple and easy going, sometimes too simple and too easy that others may not think that we have done much. I guess we are walking the talk more than talking the walk. Anyway, if talking more of the walk can help more beings, we should be sharing more of our experiences from now onwards. Therefore, I am going to invite Gyalwa Lorepa and his parents to join me in my forthcoming journey to Ladakh, where they can also accumulate a lot of merit through joining us in the many Hundred Million Vajra Guru and Amitabha Mantra Recitation, get to know my style of gossip a little better now that I am also considering myself to be their son's spiritual father, and most importantly, they will also understand the great work of our forefathers in the Himalayas, the richness of our spiritual heritage and the depth of our historical background.

Now I am very happy to share with you some of the photos during the enthronement. Please enjoy and don't complain it's not enough because connection here is very slow.
