It's very nice that I can receive news from everywhere thanks to the technology and also the great connection we have over here in Druk Amitabha Mountain. Although sometimes telephone lines can be difficult, the internet for some funny reasons or karma has always been very easy. That's why I am able to keep in touch with the rest of the world even though I am here in the mountain, very busy as usual. I have been receiving news from our beloved Kyabje Lhachok Rinpoche who is now in Malaysia and Kyabje Khamtrul Rinpoche who was in Malaysia, as well as Jampal, our chairman for Drukpa Malaysia and Drukpa Asia, whom I always want to thank for supporting our activities and fulfilling my wishes all the time, and I am never thanking him enough. He is working so nicely with Dato' Goh of Drukpa Butterworth and also members of Drukpa Kuala Lumpur.
Leaders with very stable temperiment and kind and loyal nature like him are very much needed to keep harmony in our small community and then spread to the larger world. I was also told that Kyabje Lhachok Rinpoche's student, Dato' Jimmy Ng gave such a great help with the landing visa for Khamtrul Rinpoche and his entourage. Khamtrul Rinpoche also told me what a warm reception he received from everyone.
This time, due to my very busy schedule teaching and training the nuns up on Druk Amitabha Mountain and overseeing several projects up here, I was not able to attend these great events that I was invited to attend in Hong Kong and Malaysia. I was really happy that I could send Kyabje Khamtrul Rinpoche to go on my behalf and on behalf of our lineage to Malaysia for the opening of the gigantic Octagonal Pagoda for Avalokitesvara and for receiving the international award for our Druk White Lotus School in Hong Kong. I want to congratulate Reverend Seck Jit Heng, the chief abbot of Kek Lok Si Temple, the oldest Buddhist temple in Penang, to be able to successfully complete such a huge Avalokiteshvara statue and the Pagoda. For 30 years, his masters and himself had worked very hard to ensure the successful completion. We, as practitioners of Great Compassion and Great Love, are very honoured to be connected with such a great organisation. I am proud that our Kyabje Khamtrul Rinpoche, Kyabje Lhachok Rinpoche and our monks were able to offer some prayers and well wishes to our Dharma friend, Reverend Seck Jit Heng.

I was also very moved to see Kyabje Khamtrul Rinpoche making an effort to go to these places on my behalf. He is very fortunate to be staying in Bhutan, a country fully blessed by Guru Padmasambhava and the enlightened yogis of the Drukpa Lineage, such as Drukpa Kunleg, and many many Drukpa yogis. The good thing is that Rinpoches like Khamtrul Rinpoche, Thuksey Rinpoche, Khamdrag Rinpoche and all the Rinpohes that I have sent to be educated in Bhutan, are falling in love with Bhutan, and with its traditions and cultures, which is a very good sign. Of course, in a way, I can say that this is no surprise. Bhutan is such a good country, how can you not fall in love with it? In another way, this kind of attitude is a gift for themselves because for example, for Khamtrul Rinpoche, not only in this life, in his previous life, he was very fond of Bhutan, and now in this life, he is spontaneously, not by teaching or by forcing, I have never said anything to him to influence him, as you know I let people choose by their own initiations, and Khamtrul Rinpoche has chosen Bhutan as his home. I feel that he is one of the most fortunate people in this world.
There was also a very good news that I want to share with all of you, my friends and students. Due to the hard work and generosity of many people and organisations, especially Arup Associates, our Drukpa Trust and our school construction and management team, the Druk White Lotus School has recently won an international Design Grand Award in Hong Kong. I am very proud of everyone who has made the school happened, but we must make sure that all our school children will do exceptionally well in education and spiritual development so that they will be able to benefit themselves and the world.
