I was very happy the other day, it doesn't mean I am not on other days. I'm happy about some development in the nuns' education. Our Khenpo of Druk Amitabha Mountain chose today as award presentation day for nuns who have completed certain stage of education and passed their exams. Some of them completed 8th degree, some of them 4th, some of them are 1st degree, there is a variety of stages. There were around 32 nuns who did quite well.
I was hoping to provide the photos on the day of presentation, but I did not manage to get photos out from the memory stick due to some technical problems. To tell you honestly, I am not very good at doing this sort of things at all.
On that particular day, I was very busy preparing the gifts for the nuns. Logically speaking I had to shop in town or in the bazaar, but I didn't have the time, because of the short notice that was given to me. I had to turn my room upside down looking for gifts. Literally I really cleaned up my room very nicely because I gave away all sorts of nice things that I used to put on my desks, on the side tables and everywhere in my room, and now all of them are gone. So now, selfishly speaking, my room has different presentation and different look. I think, sometimes, to keep all these different things makes some sense too. Usually, I don't like to keep junks and all sorts of things. In fact nothing in this world is real junk, that's very much true. Nobody in this world is real enemy and nothing in this world is real junk. That's it.

By the way, I am sharing with you a photo of a "fire dragon", and people are very excited about it and started to give me this photo. I want to share this with you, even though it doesn't make that much of sense. It's something worthwhile to look at it and imagine something very interesting was happening in that fire pooja. I always request my friends and students not to fuss about this, we can be happy and appreciate but there is not much of point to fuss about this because if we are not careful, then we may end up becoming superstitious or religious, which is definitely not advisable. We can treat this as an interesting episode, but not to attach to this concept, otherwise we will constantly be looking for something so-called extraordinary and will get stuck if it doesn't happen. In some of our higher teachings and practice, not only you have to ignore the Buddha or the light or the different signs, you have to "kill" it, which means get this expectation totally out of sight and out of mind. This is one of the skills of practising non-attachment. Otherwise, many people get crazy and become abnormal, always looking for signs, for example, this master is showing signs and this means he must be great, and if another master is not showing, then he is not. It's not supposed to be like that. For me, if it happens, great, if not, so what!
This pooja was dedicated for the longevity of all sentient beings, especially those beings who are helpful to humanitarian activities in the world, because if they don't live long, I think the happiness and well-being of this world will be deteriorating dreadfully. Indiviudally, we all want to live long, but we have to be fair enough to say and believe that if we are not really helpful for the world and beings in the world, that is not much point to live that long, the world is very congested, we should give our room to somebody else who can do much more for others. That means we have to make full use of our life for the benefit of others.
I also want to let all of you know that my best friend who has come back to join us, Kyabje Sengdrak Rinpoche, will be enthroned during the 2nd ADC, on 10th April. This is a small announcement that I want to make to everyone. Although the devotees in Kathmandu have already been informed, my friends and students who are following me on this primitive web of mine may not know about this.
And also, since I put up my wish about having Kenny Bee for 2nd ADC, I was informed that he will be joining us on 10th and so I am requesting our Live to Love team to organise a Live to Love Mini Concert on 11th April and maybe even some of my friends and students like Donovan and James to join us in the concert. It will definitely be a wonderful party for everyone, even I will also be looking forward to attending this concert. Let's see if my 2 friends from England will fulfill my wish or not. Let's hope and pray for it!
