Live to Love 21st December 2007
I want to thank those of my friends and students who have been actively carrying out Live to Love activities on the 3rd Sunday of November and December. The latest news showing Drukpa Germany Sangha sharing food and giving away presents to the homeless people really moved me a lot. I appreciate those of you who are taking initiatives to benefit your own communities. I hope that many more of my friends and students and my monastic communities will actively join in the Live to Love actions. You don't need to be doing Live to Love only on the 3rd Sunday of each month. You can do it everyday, every moment, if you are strong enough. Anyway this is just a start. Drukpa Poland is also doing a fairly interesting activity of saving fish. I think that everyone should be encouraging each other, whether it is saving animals or saving human beings. I hope from now onwards we will see encouraging suggestions to inspire all of us, brothers and sisters in this huge Drukpa family, to Live to Love. Some people may not agree with life releasing activities, some people may not like to go around helping human beings, but it doesn't matter. Each individual, each group and each community should be free to do anything to help others, including fish, dogs, any being in samsara. We should all respect others' choice. I look forward to reading more news on the Live to Love website. Thank you all for giving me news like this as Christmas presents.
