Introducing Nigu 22nd December 2007
Nigu is now a part of my family. I found her, or rather she found me, at the airport when I was leaving Mexico for Los Angeles. She was looking at us, not moving and not running away. I think if she was able to speak, she would have said, "Now that I have found you, I am going with you. Don't even think of getting rid of me."
I was giving her water and she could not believe that it was
for her. We had to let her to lick the water in our hand first
and slowly she did
believe that it was actually meant for her to drink. She was so
nice and humble, not at all selfish.
Definitely, Nigu had made strong prayers and karma to be linked with me, to be part of my family.
At the time when we met each other, Nigu was very quiet,
even though she was in very bad health condition. I could see
her body was very dirty, she was very thirsty and hungry. No one
knows how many days she had been suffering like this. She could
not talk, she could only look at our group, as though saying,
"Please take me and accept me as a part of your family." I had
no second thought but to take her in. So now, Nigu is on her way
to Kathmandu, to be a part of my family.
Thanks
to my Sangha in Mexico who are ever so willing to help Nigu with
medication, cleaning and vaccination. Within a week, I hope Nigu
will finish her medical treatment and will be able to follow me
soon.
